Exterior

Hyundai has done a great design on the exterior of Santa Fe, giving it a sense of upmarket.

The front has a lighting arrangement that sets the primary LED projector headlights in the bumper, with the LED DRLs above and the LED fog lamps below.

The headlights have a higher yield, and Dynamic Bending improves vision in turns. Thanks to its silver cover, the front grille is big and looks shining.

When you look to the side, you will notice a graphic line that runs from the front to the rear LED taillight, creating a depth effect. The backward lights, like the headlights, are positioned in the back bumper, together with the signal lights.

Interior

When it comes to the Hyundai Santa Fe interior, the brand strikes its customers with an intricate design. Getting into the SUV, you can see a combination of black and brown leather that gives the cabin a high level of luxury. Colors are delicately combined with brightening up the decor, and most surfaces are so comfortable to touch.

The dashboard is two-tiered in construction, allowing Hyundai to create a two-tone aesthetic with two distinct leather hues. The temperature control system includes an automatic ionizer. Multiple air vents are located around the cabin to ensure that all people receive enough cool or warm air.

Engine and Performance

Three new powertrains have been announced for the facelifted Hyundai Santa Fe 2023. The first is a 2.2-liter inline-4 turbo-diesel engine from Hyundai's "Smartstream" engine range that employs a lighter aluminum core. It weighs 38 kg less than the traditional iron-block motor.

Hyundai creates a strong yet clean diesel engine by combining it with a novel high-pressure fuel injection technology. This Hyundai Santa Fe engine can produce up to 199 horsepower and 440 Nm of torque.

The other two drivetrains are hybrids with 1.6-liter turbocharged inline-4 engines. It has a total output of 226 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque. And Hyundai Santa Fe top speed can rise to 116 mph.

Safety and Technology

There are six airbags throughout the cabin, including two in each section: front, side, and curtains. The device includes ABS, dynamic brake control, and stability control for when things go wrong.

The 360-degree camera, in conjunction with the front and rear parking sensors, assists with tiny bumps in a parking lot or when driving in slow traffic.

Pros and Cons

One of the biggest enemies of Hyundai Santa Fe is Hyundai Tucson - which is also another Hyundai well-selling model. They are quite similar vehicles loaded with advanced technology and safety features.

The differences lie in their cabin room and the engine. While Tucson can carry up to 5 passengers, Santa Fe can contain two more. And Santa Fe variants' engines are also a bit more powerful than Tucson's.

Other ten competitors to Hyundai Santa Fe can include:

  • Subaru Forester
  • Toyota RAV4
