All the misses in the 2023 Toyota Camry have been fully compensated for the engine parts. Gone is the 2.5-litre EFI engine. The Camry is now only available with a 2.5-litre 4-cylinder paired with an electric motor, making the new Camry the only midsize hybrid sedan in the market.

The Toyota Camry engine churns out purely 178 PS of power at 5700 rpm and 221 Nm at 3600 - 5200 rpm while the electric motor develops an additional 88 PS against 202 Nm of torque. In total, the Toyota Camry Hybrid can generate a maximum power of 211 PS. Gone is the 8-speed automatic transmission, the Camry is now available with an E-CVT unit with a front-wheel-drive system.
